Preventive law seeks to anticipate and prevent legal problems and litigation.
The civil court system is not designed to effectively and compassionately help families resolve conflict and is ill-equipped to compensate for the shortage of social services and available legal education and resources in Indiana. Many families and individuals have not had the opportunity to acquire the skills and resources that greatly reduce negative involvement with family courts. Our litigious culture teaches individuals that the only way to resolve disputes is through lawyers and courts.
That is wrong.
Preventative Law seeks to solve the root problems that lead to negative court outcomes in family courts and its goal is to prevent or mitigate negative involvement with the Court system through the widespread use of conflict resolution skills and legal knowledge.
It is like preventative medicine. I am trained to identify your symptoms and uncover the actual root of your issue to address it proactively before it reaches the grasp of the Court.
